There is something about saying the right things to yourself and to situations around you.
The bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:21 KJV). What this means in plain terms, is that, what you declare over your life and all that is associated to you, can impart life (vitality) or bring about death (destruction).
It is wisdom therefore, to speak right and pronounce positive things.
And what better way to do that than using the word of God?
God’s word contains a lot of beautiful and amazing promises for us. Speaking the word over our lives is a way of claiming and enforcing those promises and truths.
Meanwhile, the word of God is very powerful, Hebrews 4:12 NLT says “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”
No doubt, speaking it over our lives can bring a lot of positive changes.
One other truth that reveals the potential and power in the word is that God has magnified His word above all His name (Psalm 138:2 KJV).
That is really huge. No wonder the word works all the time!
You should also know, that God is joyful whenever we speak His word back to Him. Speaking His word back to Him then moves Him to action. In Jeremiah 1:12 AMP, He says “I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill it.”
It is even more interesting when we say it as though we already have our evidence as stated in Romans 4:17 TPT “Calling into being things that don’t even exist yet.”
Yes, that’s because, in that way, we bring to bear the nature of God in us, seeing that’s exactly what He did in creation.
Speaking scriptures over my life has indeed worked (and is still working) for me. That’s why I’m sharing this.
So, in this post, I have highlighted 33 Bible verses that touch important aspects of our lives and you can speak them over your life daily, and continuously.
A number of them here are not written verbatim; they have been personalized for ease of declaration.
Note however, that you’ll need faith to make it work for you. Matthew 21:22 CEV says “If you have faith when you pray, you will be given whatever you ask for.” Therefore, declare these words over your life by faith. I trust God strongly that you will see results!
