My name is OgagaOghene.
It means God’s power.
I was born and raised in Oyo – a historically significant Yoruba town – to Isoko parents who had moved from southern Nigeria.
Leadership and Service
From an early age, I have been sold out to the service of God and humanity and I have held several service positions across various platforms. These include student, youth, social, professional and spiritual settings.
I have served as Senior Prefect of the prestigious Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo; National President, the National Fellowship of Christian Medical Laboratory Science Students; State Evangelism Secretary, Nigeria Christian Corpers’ Fellowship, Adamawa State amongst several others. These roles have afforded me valuable experience in working and relating with people.
I figured I needed to take writing seriously when I suddenly realized I had a plethora of scribbles and snippets all over my phones, notepads, and fragments of paper. This discovery has since put me on a journey to becoming a committed writer, deliberate poet and curious essayist.
I write on a variety of subjects that are close to my heart, true to my nature and allied to my purpose. These include four broad themes: Faith and Christianity, Life Realities, Personal Development and Productivity, Academic Excellence and Youth Development. With my writings, I seek to inspire, motivate, propagate life’s truths and represent a sincere Christian voice.
I have been writing poetry for up to a decade and I agree with poets who see poetry as a tool for enhancing our world. I am coming along with a simplistic and accessible approach.
Academic Success Advocate
Over the years, I have been promoting academic excellence through career and academic talks and how-to pieces. In the process, I have counselled and spoken to hundreds of students in different schools and campuses.
Some of these include, Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo; The International School, Rivers State University; Baptist Students Fellowship; Salem Diplomats Fellowship; Medical Laboratory Science Students, University of Ibadan; JCCF, Federal School of Surveying, Oyo; NAFECMLSS National Conference among others.
Christian Steward and Bible Enthusiast
As an ordained Christian minister and a bible enthusiast, I have been studying and teaching what the bible says with insight and clarity for more than a decade. I have been involved in communicating God’s message among people of all ages in schools, campuses, churches and other Christian gatherings.
I have received professional training in biomedical science from the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt and the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
I believe people ought to be the best they were made to be. I am committed to achieving this with myself and as many as God will bring my way.
