The Faith of a Virgin

It had never happened,
in her lineage.
Yet, she didn’t budge.

It was unheard of,
in the country.
But she didn’t fret.

No record of such,
on the continent.
She didn’t bother.

There was no precedence,
in the entire universe.
Still, she didn’t waver.

Worst of all, no logic
or science could support.
Yet, Mary didn’t doubt.

Hard, nagging realities,
to her, didn’t matter;
she, they couldn’t deter.

She was confident
in just one thing:
the sure word;
that with God,
nothing, shall
be impossible.
